Tailored Weddings

I love to talk to people, I love to hear the stories, but most, I love to write about it.  You tell me about you, I make your story,  your ceremony.  Whether you want your guests to laugh or cry, I can make that happen.

We can turn your stories into the vows, or even into a poem.  We can use traditional rutuals, or make one up that's totally yours.  Include your dog, have words after the ceremony to a dove release, or leave the ceremony to the sound of revving motorbike engines, talk to me about what you love, and I'll come up with the ideas.  I'm full of them!

Choose Your Rituals

Rituals are very much part of every wedding.  The most commonly used of course are the exchanging of vows and rings, but there are many more.  You can choose from a whole range, or make one up. Have as many, or as few as you wish. The joy of a tailored wedding is the freedom to make it personal to you.*

* Some rituals will incur additional costs.  Speak to me for details.

Emily and Nikki

We can use bespoke poetry anywhere in your ceremony, should you wish for it, but it makes a great ending!

Emily and Nikki had a beautiful barn wedding.  Their gorgeous little dog was their ring bearer, and with a little bow on her collar, she looked amazing and as predicted, stole the show.  For rituals, they chose the lighting of unity candles and to mark the end of the vows, we fired a confetti cannon.

After signing a certificate, Emily and Nikki stayed seated while a family member talked about them as a couple.  Following that, I invited them to rejoin me at the front as I delivered my closing lines.    As my speaking ended, their music started, and you can work out what it was.   The ceremony ended seamlessly and beautifully with the words you can see on the right.

Emily and Nikki, wow, what a special day!

As this part draws to a close, there's little left to say.

You've said your vows, and exchanged your rings.

Then we did the other things!

Under confetti you shared a kiss

and from two candles you made a flame.

The emotions you both felt up here,

We all felt the same.

It's very wrong to upstage a bride, but worse to upstage two.

I sadly have to tell you both, your dog did that to you!

Moving on, go build your dreams,

As the new wife and wife.

Today is just the first day,

Of the rest of your new life.

So on you go, take those steps,

It's time for pastures new.

Never forget what you said today,

'I Do, I Do, I Do!'

Meet Lesley and Create Your Ceremony with Sincerity

A Personal Consultation,Tailored to You

I've been a church bell ringer since I was nine years old and I've seen, from the ringing chambers, hundreds of weddings.  This has given me insight into what works, and most importantly, what doesn't.  The planning and little bits of detail are so important and so often overlooked.  I can help you with ensuring that your whole ceremony flows seamlessly.

We can chat on the phone, via a video call or in person. Face to face over a cup of tea or coffee is always fun but but if a zoom call is what is best for you, that's what we do. I will help you plan a ceremony that truly reflects your values and wishes. Each event is a collaborative journey marked by care and attentiveness.

Ian & Sally

All we can say is Wow! Lesley made our whole day extra special by taking time to learn our individual stories and included so much detail, not only in the ceremony itself but also in the poem she read at the end, it was like she'd known us all our lives. Thanks so much Lesley XXX Ian & Sally

Paul - Corby

My husband and I have been together for 20 years and he FINALLY proposed whilst standing in the checkout queue at Tesco. Lesley's line about picking up a bargain and that every little helps made the guests roar with laughter. Our friends still remind us of this two years later.

Emily - Bedford

Lesley presented an array of humour and seriousness into our perfect wedding. Her opening quip about '2 brides' made everyone laugh and set the pace. Finishing with the poem was so perfect.  We weren't expecting that and it was a massive surprise.  One we will never forget.
