My background was based around the funeral trade with my family involved in a funeral directors for many years. That inevitably made me involved and has given me the knowledge and experience to fully understand the needs of the family and the help they require.
The training received from the Academy of Professional Celebrants showed me how to take the words from the family, and create something personal, memorable and sincere for your loved one's ceremony.

I was so moved by Barbara's history as a nurse and her working life, it just had to be honoured in her ceremony. When I made this suggestion to her family, they were unsure, but I assured them it would work. It really did. Everyone stood and the noise was beautiful.
Some of you may feel uncomfortable with applause in a crematorium, but I feel there is no more deserving case than Barbara, so in a moment, I am going to ask you all to make a noise. If at that moment you wish to stand, please do so.
